최근 러시아의 수도인 모스크바에 있는 ‘붉은광장’에서 ‘2013 러시아 모스크바 국제 군악축제’가 열렸습니다. 이 축제는 모스크바가 만들어진 기념일인 매년 9월 첫째 일요일을 기념해 벌이는 축제의 하나로, 2006년에 처음으로 열렸지요. 우리나라 공군군악대는 모스크바 국제 군악축제 조직위원회의 공식 초청으로 올해 처음으로 이 무대에 올라 화제가 되기도 했습니다. 군악은 군인들의 사기를 높이기 위해서 연주하는 음악입니다. 주로 힘차고 씩씩한 분위기의 음악이 많지요. 기원전 6세기경 그리스군이 싸움터에서 돌격을 감행할 때 힘찬 군악을 연주해서 병사들의 사기를 북돋운 데서 비롯되었다고 해요. 미국, 중국, 프랑스, 중국 등 총 13개 국가의 개성 있는 군악 공연 모습을 살펴보세요.^^
